Head Coach of Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies, Prince Owusu rued his side’s missed chances in their 1-0 loss at Wa All Stars last weekend.
The Cantonment based team missed some glorious goal-scoring opportunities in the course of the encounter and were eventually made to pay with Wa All Stars scoring via a penalty deep into injury time to pick all three points at stake.
Hashmin Musah saw his powerful long drive for the ‘Eleven Is To One’ saved in the first half while Samuel Mensah Konney failed to pick Antwi Kwame Amoako after a surging run in the second half.
Both Inter Allies and Wa All Stars were wasteful in front of goal but the Wa based side just edged out Inter Allies whose trainer Prince Owusu insists the home side were lucky to have ended the game as victors.
“It was a very ding-dong game, each side had some chances and in football it’s a matter of taking your chances.”
“We missed our chances, they had theirs and they converted the penalty to win, they were lucky”, He said.
