Ghana goalkeeper Razak Braimah says he ‘feels great’ and also proud of himself after helping Linares Deportivo secure promotion to the Spanish Segunda B.
The former Cordoba FC goalkeeper will play in the Spanish Segunda B in the 2020/21 season.
The Spanish Football Federation took a decision to cancel the Tercera Division (fourth tier) play-offs and gave automatic promotion to group leaders.
The 2015 African Cup of Nations finalist, who was named best goalkeeper in the Tercera Division after conceding 13 goals in 25 league matches, has been handed a one-year contract extension by Linares Deportivo.
Speaking exclusively to SPORTSworldGhana.com on Sunday afternoon via phone call, Braimah expressed excitement with his side’s qualification and also getting opportunity to sign another one-year contract with the Linares-based club.
”I feel great and proud of myself, it’s the dream of every player to be successful at his club and I think that is exactly what I am here to do with Linares Deportivo,” said Razak Briamah.
He added that ”We targeted qualification to the Segunda B from the beginning of the season and thankfully we have it now so we will do our best to at least remain in the league next season,”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper, SPORTSworldGhana.com understands will sign another two-year deal with the club should he play twenty [20] games in the new season.
