Eyewitnesses have reported that a group of angry fans from Techiman Eleven Wonders, unable to control their emotions, allegedly vandalized the shop belonging to Osman Zakaria’s girlfriend in Techiman.
Osman Zakaria, a player for Eleven Wonders, missed a crucial penalty that could have secured the team’s qualification for the premier league. Unfortunately, he failed to convert the penalty, leading to further penalty kicks for both teams.
Following the team’s failure to qualify, enraged fans from Techiman reportedly stormed Zakaria’s girlfriend’s shop and caused damage to the premises. Due to security concerns and tensions among some fans, Zakaria was unable to return to Techiman with the team.
Instead, he made a stopover in Konongo, located in the Ashanti region, where his extended family resides.
The management of Techiman Eleven Wonders has issued an apology to the club’s supporters for the team’s inability to qualify for the premier league.
