Swaziland national manager Anthony Mdluli admitted that it is almost impossible for his side to beat Egypt in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

Mdluli said that beating Egypt on Friday October 7 is an almost impossible task during the pre-match press conference.

“The Egypt national team is very strong, it’s a huge national team with a huge name and reputation. As for our team it’s a small team with no experience,” Mdluli said during the pre-match press conference.

“We realize that our mission against Egypt is very hard and is almost impossible.

“Egypt is a well ranked team, but nothing is impossible in football, we have a lot ambition and we want to play as best as we can.

“Our players are very young, we’re building a new team, they have a lot of ambition and want to face the best teams in the continent and the best players,” he added.

Mdluli then talked about the reason he didn’t include Salah in his top three choices for FIFA’S The Best award, as he picked France’s Kylian Mbappe, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard.

“It’s a personal choice, I can choose whoever I want, I think he’s played brilliantly with Liverpool and had a great season, however he didn’t perform very well with the Egypt national team.

“As for Modric he’s the best player in his team and the national team and reached the World Cup final with Croatia and he fully deserved it.

“All of us in Africa are very proud of what Salah did last season in Europe, he belongs to us. But Modric deserved it the most in my opinion,” he continued.

He then started talking about the game once again:

“We will face Egypt in a difficult period, and we have very few time to prepare for the second game.

“Egypt is a very strong side, they have the perfect physical and mental preparation, but I’ll try to properly prepare my time tactically and physically to face Egypt and deal with this tough period.

“It’s hard to face such strong side two times in just four days.

“The Egypt national team is a very attacking side and that was proven during their game against Niger where they scored six goals. We know that they’re going to play with the same style so that he can score as many as possible. And we’ll try to prevent Egypt from scoring goals,” he concluded.
