Nations FC head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has described their upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Basake Holy Stars as the pivotal moment in their title bid.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Mingle emphasized that Sunday’s game in Ampain will be decisive for Nations FC, who currently top the league with 60 points—three points clear of their nearest rivals, Bibiani GoldStars.
“This won’t be an easy match. It will determine our destiny—whether we win the league or not. This game will decide our fate,” Mingle said, highlighting the enormous pressure on the team.
“Basake Holy Stars are fighting to avoid relegation, while we are battling for the championship. It will be a very competitive encounter.”
The fixture kicks off at 15:00 GMT on Sunday, June 1, marking the penultimate round of the 2024/25 season.
At the same time, Bibiani GoldStars face a crucial away match against Berekum Chelsea, another key fixture that could shape the title race.
Meanwhile, Kumasi Asante Kotoko prepare to host Medeama at Baba Yara Stadium, but will be without four important players—including striker Kwame Opoku—in a game with significant top-four implications.
