Former Berekum Chelsea coach Steve Pollack who has agreed to join Asante Kotoko as their new trainer is confident the Porcupine Warriors still have the chance of winning the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League.
Mathematically the English gaffer says Kotoko can still beat competition from current joint league leaders WAFA and Aduana Stars to clinch the title.
Pollack on Tuesday afternoon confirmed to Kuamsi based Abusua FM that negotiations between Berekum Chelsea and Asante has reached 99% and that he will on Wednesday arrive in Kumasi to start work.
The Ghana Premier League giants who have amassed 20 points so far are nine points adrift joint leaders WAFA and Aduana Stars with a game left to end the first round of the season.
Nonetheless, the former King Faisal coach believes Kotoko are in strong contention to win the trophy.
”It’s not too late, Kotoko can still win the league. I want the supporters to have faith and patience.” He said.
