Former Black Stars player Laryea Kingston has described his entire playing career as a success but insists it’s very hard for him to accept that he never played at the world cup.
An incident in a group match between Ghana n Senegal at the 2006 Afcon in Egypt, triggered Laryea Kingston’s absence from the tournament after he was shown the red card and banned for four games for an altercation with Habib Bei of Senegal.
The former Hearts of Oak,Terek Grosny and locomotive Moscow player played all the 2006 wold cup qualifiers for Ghana but was overlooked due to the ban.He says it’s still hard for him to accept he never played at the world cup.
“When I was growing up as a young footballer, I wanted to play in the local league which I did with one of the best clubs in the country that’s Hearts of oak,I achieved that,the national team through all the various national sides I also achieved that “he told Starr sports.
“I wanted to play in Europe which I also did but the only thing that for me it’s disappointing to me is missing out at the world cup which is still hard for me to accept it because I was part of the team that played every single game to qualifier the country to the mundial,”
