Jindo Morishita, attacker for Great Olympics, has expressed his frustration with receiving fewer minutes of play during the current Ghana Premier League season.
The 25-year-old Japanese attacker joined the Dade Boys from Ebusua Dwarfs during the second transfer window but has found it challenging to break into Bismark Kobi-Mensah’s team.
Despite his limited playing time, Jindo recognizes the importance of the team’s success and hopes they stay afloat this season, even if it means he is not on the pitch as much as he would like.
In an interview with Citi Sports, Jindo stated, “Well, you know as a player, you always want to deliver value on the pitch and if you are not given enough time, it is always frustrating. As I keep saying, it is not always about myself. It is about the team first, so I respect the coach. I trust him and I am always preparing myself to be ready when called upon. I always want to deliver a good performance in front of my Japanese family and the Olympic fans in general.”
Great Olympics recently secured a crucial victory against Berekum Chelsea on matchday 25, ending their five-game winless streak in the league under Bismark Kobi Mensah. The team is set to face league leaders Aduana FC in the matchday 26 games this weekend.
