Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has revealed that Argentine legend Javier Zanetti was his role model in football at a signing event at the Inter store in central Milan.
Renowned for his work ethic, versatility and sheer elegance, Zanetti is regarded as one of the best midfield players during hay days with the Nerazzuri.
Having spent nineteen years in the Blue and Black shirt, Zanetti hanged up his boots before taking up a role on the club’s board.
Asamoah, who joined the San Siro outfit in the summer as a free agent after ending his six-year stay with rivals Juventus, revealed that the 45-year-old was his football idol.
