Belgian forward of Ghanaian descent Jeremy Doku is set to work under a new head coach at Stade Rennes following the departure of Julien Stéphan.
The French international has resigned as coach of Stade Rennes after a poor display in the French Ligue 1.
Doku’s Rennes are currently in a somewhat disappointing 9th place in Ligue 1.
Stéphan, 40, had grown into a big coach in Brittany in recent years. He guided Rennes to 3rd place last season in the Ligue 1, their best result ever.
The Bretons were allowed directly to the group stage of the Champions League, but that turned out to be a fiasco with 1 in 18 and a logical last place in Group E.

Things are not going smoothly this season for the club. Rennes currently are 9th position on the league standings with 21 points. They have gone winless in their past 6 matches. The club are also out of the Coupe de France.
Meanwhile, assistant coach Philippe Bizeul will take over the helm for the time being until a substantive manager is appointed.
Doku,18 joined the French side from RSC Anderlecht in October last year for a record fee of 26 million euros.
He has so far managed 3 assists in 27 matches without a goal.
