Ghanaian midfeilder Johnatan Opoku netted his debut goal for De Graafschap in their Dutch Eerste Divisie 2020/21 season oepner 4-2 win over FC Den Bosch on Monday night at De Vijverberg.
The 30-year old midfielder who joined De Graafschap in the ongoing summer transfer window from VVV-Venlo, was on target in the 79th minute.
Toine van Huizen shot the hosts in front in the 45th minute before FC Den Bosch got the leveler courtesy Julian Lelieveld’s own goal in the 53rd minute.
Daryl van Mieghem then restored De Graafschap ‘s lead in the 59th minute-mark with Elmo Lieftink grabbing the third goal two minutes later.
Opoku brilliantly struck in the 79th minute to extend his side’s lead to 4-1.
With ten minutes to full time, Jizz Hornkamp pulled one back for FC Den Bosch to reduce their deficit to 4-2 in the season opener clash.
Johnathan Opoku was meanwhile, booked on the 83rd minute for unsporting behavior in the game.
