Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah has inked a 2-year deal with Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
The 26-year-old who joined Singida Black Stars in January 2025 from Al Nasr in Libya has switched clubs again after helping the Tanzanian club finish 4th in the 2024-25 season.
The former Medeama SC Star has gained extensive experience on the continent after playing in Ghana, Libya, and now Tanzania. Sowah is not expected to struggle to adapt to life in Simba because he already knows the Tanzanian league.
Simba SC finished 4 points behind league winners Yanga and are expected to challenge for the title after missing it in the last four seasons with the acquisition of the Ghanaian striker.
Also, the club will compete in the CAF Champions League, making it a dream move for Sowah.
The striker will be eyeing a place in the Black Stars after making this huge move. He was part of Ghana’s squad in Ivory Coast for the 2023 AFCON but failed to make any appearance. He has not returned and recently confirmed his desire to wear the white and yellow jersey of Ghana again.
Will Sowah be the man to help Simba end Yanga’s impressive dominance of the Tanzanian Ligi KUU Bara?.
