Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has earned massive applauds following his outstanding performance for Crystal Palace in their victory over Everton on Sunday, December 12, 2021.
The 30-year-old striker assisted Palace’s first goal, which was converted by Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher as the Eagles defeated the Toffees 3-1 at the Selhurst Park.
The game ended a run of a three-game losing streak for Patrick Viera’s men, but it was Ayew’s display that caught the attention of fans.
“Some performance from Jordan Ayew today,” wrote Palace on their official Twitter handle.
“Jordan was immense today. Not good, not very good but actually immense. Effort, work rate & skill with the ball at his feet. Proper trier & deserves the plaudits for that,” added Holmesdale.
Palace Podcast wrote, “He played well again. Deserved a goal.”
“Most weeks when I see his name I’m like “FFS”. Today I eat my words and take my hat off to the lad. Didn’t stop all game, put some great balls in the box. Should have scored but confidence is clearly low. But well played,” adds J Bagz.
“Credit where it’s due Ayew was great today but I wouldn’t start him every week got Olise, also who has more assist so far doing well who also deserve a chance and brings a different spin to the game & Eze, who was fantastic last season please give them a chances too..,” Geonee wrote.
Jordan Ayew is yet to score a goal this season but has made 15 appearances for the South London side.
On Sunday, Conor Gallagher’s brace and James Tomkins’ striker was enough for Palace.
