Ghana captain Jordan Ayew registered his fifth Premier League goal of the season during Leicester City’s 2-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Ayew extended the lead for the Foxes in the 44th minute, capitalizing on a rebounded free-kick. After his initial effort struck the wall, the ball fell kindly back to him, and he rifled a low shot from 22 yards out, beating goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
The goal marked Ayew’s third strike in 16 career Premier League appearances against Southampton.
Despite Leicester already being relegated, the win offered a positive note, with Ayew playing a key role before making way for Jeremy Monga in the 70th minute.
