José Daniel Martínez Alfonso, a Spanish football tactician, has been appointed by the Ghana Football Association to bolster scouting, match preparation, and performance analysis as the national team gears up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Martínez Alfonso brings a wealth of analytical expertise, having built his career around modern football data, tactical breakdowns, and video analysis.
He currently serves as an assistant coach and video analyst with Major League Soccer side Atlanta FC in the United States, where he has honed skills in opposition scouting and performance review.
In his new role with Ghana, Martínez Alfonso is expected to provide detailed tactical insights, enhance match preparation, and improve overall team performance through meticulous analysis, ensuring the Black Stars are strategically ready for the global stage.
