Tema Youth bank roller Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has revealed that Thomas Partey has been his biggest product in terms of progression although he admitted that Paintsil got his club more money.
Joseph Painstil currently plays for K.R.C Genk in Belgium and Thomas Partey features for La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
In his interview with Joy Sports, the former Black Stars management committee chairman, hailed Partey’s progression from playing in the Tema Youth reserves to earning his spot as a key player in the Atletico Madrid setup.
“If you check the numbers, that one it is undeniable fact that Joseph Paintsil has given us our biggest transfer, but judging from those who have progressed to the highest level, I will say Thomas Partey has been excellent.”
“This was a player at a given point coming from the reserve bench of Tema Youth. Until we got the premiership where he could have started, Thomas at Division one was reserve player so, if you want to more or less do a fair assessment of what he has been able to do in terms of progression after Tema Youth, it is Partey who has been one of the best if not the best.” he concluded.
