Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil came from the bench to score the equalizer for KRC Genk as they drew 1-1 with Dutch Eredivisie side Groningen.
The Ghanaian international was a second half substitute as he managed the only goal for his team in their 1-1 stalemate against a tough Groningen side in a pre-season friendly match.
Michael de Leeuw found the back of the net for FC Groningen after 19 minutes of the match to put them in a 1-0 lead which lasted for over an hour of football between the two teams.
In the second half of the match, Genk introduced fresh limps into the game and instantly began to play with more purpose in attack after the break.
Paintsil, on the 65th minutes mark made his mark in the match by grabbing the equalizing goal with a beautiful strike from inside the box to draw Genk level.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian wing player almost snatched the winner for the Blue and Whites but could not find the back of the net for the second time in the game as it ended 1-1.
