Former Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has pleaded with Ghanaians not to criticise Otto Addo for his selection for the Black Stars’ final squad.

After the Black Stars’ World Cup debut against Portugal in Qatar, Africa’s all-time leading scorer says it will be only fair for Ghanaians to comment on the team.

Otto Addo has received a lot of criticism for leaving out well-known players like Joseph Paintsil, Jeffrey Schlupp, and Felix Afena-Gyan from his final roster.

The former captain of Ghana urged his countrymen to support the Black Stars so they might win the competition in a tweet.

“Everyone has shared his or her opinion about the Black Stars, [the] 26-man squad is out now. So, what we have to do now is to support those in camp now,” Gyan said.

“If u have any comments, wait till after the first game of the tournament. But for now, let’s pray for the team to deliver.”
