South African powerhouse Kaizer Chiefs have identified Asante Kotoko midfielder Hubert Gyau as a transfer target after his eye-catching performances in the ongoing season, acording to Kickgh.com.

Gyau has enjoyed a rapid rise at the Baba Yara Stadium since arriving from Berekum Chelsea at the start of the campaign. The highly-rated 20-year-old has quickly cemented his place in Kotoko’s engine room, standing out for his relentless work rate, sharp football intelligence, and consistent goal contributions from midfield.

The youngster has registered four goals in 17 league outings, while also collecting several NASCO Man of the Match awards, evidence of his growing authority and influence in the Ghana Premier League.

Gyau’s strong form has attracted attention beyond Ghana, with Kaizer Chiefs closely tracking his progress as they plan reinforcements ahead of the next transfer window. The Soweto-based club are understood to be reshaping their squad and view the Kotoko midfielder as a long-term solution in central midfield.

Sources indicate that Kaizer Chiefs are expected to submit a formal bid to Asante Kotoko in the coming days as they step up efforts to secure the services of one of the league’s most exciting young talents.
