Shaibu Tanko, the coach of Karela United, expressed his disappointment with his team’s performance in their match against Legon Cities FC.

Despite their best efforts, Karela United FC failed to convert crucial opportunities, resulting in a lack of clinical finishing that ultimately cost them the game.

On Sunday, Legon Cities defeated Karela United 2-0 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase. Michel Otou and Alex Aso scored for the visitors.

“It was a difficult game that lasted for 90 minutes. If you have opportunities and do not make use of them, you will lose, that is one of the principles. We had three clear chances in the first half that we could not utilise, and in the second half, they [Legon Cities] scored another goal,” he said in an interview with Happy FM.

With 32 points after 27 games, Karela United is currently 17th on the Ghana Premier League table. Their next league game will be against Real Tamale United.
