Black Stars head coach, Charles K. Akonnor announced a 30-man squad for next month’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars of Ghana will play Ethiopia and South Africa in the first two games of the qualifiers and C.K Anonnor has already got his names ready for the encounter.
One player who was named in the squad is Kelvin Yeboah, and many have already started asking questions about the youngster.
Kelvin Yeboah is one of the brightest young talents, who has been watched on countless times. He is the nephew of Ghana legend Tony Yeboah.
The 21-year-old plies his trade for Austrian side SK Sturm Graz, joining from rivals WSG Wattens in February 2021.
Yeboah has been directly involved in 36 goals in 84 appearances across all competitions while playing in Austria, scoring 14 times for Wattens and nine times for Sturm Graz.
In just 59 league appearances, the forward has 16 goals to his name in the last three seasons, while also boasting of nine assists during that time.
The Ghanaian has two goals in three league appearances already this season and is expected to play a big impact for his club in this year’s Bundesliga.
For Ghanaians, it will be the right time to see if the nephew of the legendary Yeboah can fill in the shoes of the once upon a time national hero.
