Ghanaian defender Kenndey Boateng believes playing in the Austrian top-flight league next season would be a ‘good standard for his football career’.
The WAFA Academy graduate won the Austrian second-tier league with SV Ried on the final day of competition last Friday and will thus be playing in the Austrian Bundesliga next season.
His outstanding display in defence ensured his club clinched a spot to enjoy premier league football in the 2020/21 football season.
Speaking exclusively to SPORTSworldGhana.com, the 23-year old rocky defender said ”I think it has been a great season, its been a great season and also a rough season for we guys because you know during this time we had this coronavirus outbreak making things difficult for us but for me and my team we kept our focus very high,”
He added that ” Currently I have one more year contract with the team and I think I have to help the team to play in the league and also help the club to stay in the league when the season starts. Playing in the first league is really a good standard for my football career,”
Boateng, 23, scored one goal in 21 appearances for SV Ried in the just-ended season.
