Ghana’s youngster Kingsley Sarfo has completed his move to Malmo FF from IK Sirius after signing a long-term contract on Thursday.
The 22-year-old midfielder is looking forward to soon put on the sky blue jersey and play in front of the audience at Swedbank Stadion.
Below is an excerpts of Kingsley Sarfo’s interview after joining the former Swedish champions the club’s official website.
Welcome to Malmö FF, Kingsley! How does it feel to be an MFF player?
It feels great to be here. I’m very happy to sign for Malmo FF and I look forward to representing the MFF.
Kingsley Sarfo is now resident of Malmö for the second time. He lived namely in Malmö earlier in his career and represented among other BW90 before moving on to IK Sirius.
I have lived in Malmo before and you feel to Malmo FF. I lived here when I was 18 and I remember I liked the way MFF played and the atmosphere at the stadium. It is a very big club that plays the kind of football I like.
What are your strengths as a footballer?
I like to have the ball at their feet, be creative and make points for the team. It is the most important. Whether it’s goals or assists, I want to score and help the team.
From his time in Malmö and visits at Swedbank Stadion remember he audience and the atmosphere as something special.
I’ve never played in a club that has so much fans, so it feels very inspiring. To play in front of such an audience is going to be awesome.
With a Premier Division toppstrid and qualifying for the Champions League this fall. What are your expectations for the rest of the season?
I want to help the team with what I’m good at. Together we will fight hard in every tournament we are in and hopefully accomplish as much as possible.
