Football administrator Kofi Manu has rubbished the five-year ban slapped against Division One football side Phar Rangers for their unconstitutional decision to withdraw from all competitions of the Ghana Football Association.
The Division One side made the decision on June 7th but wrote another letter to the GFA two days later to withdraw their earlier decision but the GFA Disciplinary Committee refused to respect the second letter and went ahead to ban the club, its shareholders and directors from all football events for period of five years.
But the outspoken Kofi Manu has described the ruling as bogus.
“This is a bogus decision and it shows how vindictive this GFA is” he said in an interview with Fox FM based in Kumasi.
“How can you punish a club that rescinded their decision” he quizzed.
The club , its shareholders and directors have up to three days to appeal against the ruling of the GFA Disciplinary Committee.
