Former defender of Asante Kotoko, and other players who were victims of the sad incident that happened to the Kumasi based club, met the committee setup by Otumfor Osei Tutu II to investigate the club’s affairs.
Agio as he’s popularly called, speaking to Don Summer on floodlight show, mentioned that they went to meet the committee on their own without any invitation from them, adding that the committee, warmly welcomed them and asked them to officially appear on Thursday.
“We were not officially invited by the committee. They only realised our presence there and the head of the committee kindly received us to know our mission. After knowing who we’re, they told us to officially appear on Thursday to meet the committee” Richard Osei Agyeman said.
He added that only five people including him (Richard Osei Agyeman) went there to meet the committee; Nana Berkye, Ahmed Adams, Michael Akuffo and Isaac Amoako who’s the leader of the victims.
“After the accident, the victims were expecting something from the club whether insurance package or the numerous gifts presented to them through the club, but we got nothing. We want the committee to hear us and help us get what we deserve as victims” Richard Osei Agyeman told Don Summer.
The porcupine warriors had a terrible accident on the Kumasi-Accra highway in 2017 when they were returning from Tema, after their league match against Inter Allies.
