Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC stretched their lead at the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with a 2-1 comeback win over Ebusua Dwarfs in the Ghana on Thursday.
The visitors captain, Dennis Nkrumah opened the scoring to put Dwarfs in the lead with a sublime finish from long but Kotoko pulled parity after just four minutes as Kotoko’s skipper headed home to make it 1-1 on the 29th minute mark.
Emmanuel Gyamfi pounced on a loose ball inside the box to bag his brace to ensure the Porcupine Warriors maintain a four-point lead at the top of the table following a goalkeeping hauler by Razak Issah.
Asante Kotoko could have the game with a wider margin but their attackers kept missing glaring chances and failed to add to their two goals.
Kotoko won the game 2-1 and opened a four points gap at the top of the league table before Great Olympics go into action against Aduana Stars FC at 6pm.
