Asante Kotoko face a difficult task to qualify for the CAF Champions League group stages against Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman on Wednesday but board member Kofi Abban has repordtedly promised to pay each player some $300 should they achieve the Holy Grail.
“Asante Kotoko Board member, Dr. Kofi Amoah-Abban , has confirmed to Opemsuo Sports that he will pay each player $300 should they win or qualify against Al Hilal in tomorrow’s game.” according a report by Opemsour Radio.
The Kotoko players reportedly boycotted training this morning in a per diem row against management of the club. The club has not denied the report and it is understood that calm has been restored in the Kotoko camp in Sudan ahead of tomorrow’s big affair.
