The Porcupine Warriors will host Dreams FC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Saturday 8th May, 2021 in matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League.
Ahead of the game, defender Abdul Ismail Ganiyu exclusively tells SportsworldGhana.com his outfit will approach the game against the ‘Still Believe’ lads with all seriousness, nothing less than legitimately picking all maximum three points after the full 90 minutes.
Mariano Barreto’s side currently occupy the second position on the league standings with just a point separating them and leaders Medeama SC after playing 22 games.
Having defeated Legon Cities FC 1-0 away last week, the Black Stars centre-back believes a win over Dreams FC would brighten Kotoko’s chances of winning its 24 league title and book a ticket to represent Ghana at next season’s Caf inter-club competitions.
”The game is just a normal one. We are going to approach this game like any other game but with the mentality of winning so that we can have a clear chance of winning the league,” Ganiyu told SportsworldGhana.com on Wednesday.
He added that “It’s a do or die game and we are going all out for a win, nothing less than that and pray for victory Isha Allah.”
The 24-year old has been one of the best central defenders in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, playing an incredible 21 out of 22 matches for Asante Kotoko.
