Asante Kotoko left-back Imoro Ibrahim has explained why he opted to celebrate differently after scoring against his former team Karela United over the weekend at the CAM Park.
Imoro scored the opener before striker Kwame Opoku added the second goal to seal an important 2-0 win for Johnson Smith’s side in Anyinase break Karela’s 5-year unbeaten home record on Sunday.
The 21-year-old refused to celebrate when he scored against his former club but chose to kiss the CAM Park pitch.
According to the diminutive defender, he kissed the pitch to signify the love he had for Karela especially the late financier of the club
“I was here and enjoyed a perfect career, I kissed the pitch to show my appreciation to all Karela family especially my late boss Senator David Brigidi” Imoro said AS quoted by newsplusgh.com.
