The medical team has played down injury concerns concerning Saddick Adams and Isaac Quansah after the pair was forced out of the team’ 2-1 win over NEA Salamina on Wednesday.
Sadick Adams put Kotoko ahead in the MTN FA Cup quarterfinal match but he was substituted in the 50th minute after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury.
Midfielder, Isaac Quansah who was enjoying his first start in a long while was also replaced following a knock on his left knee. Both players were treated by Team Nurse, Gabriel Ofori Adjei and Andrew Owusu Amankwah. “They are both okay and Saddick has even returned to the Black Stars ‘B’ camp” said Ofori Adjei.
“Andrew and I assessed them and found that they were good. They received some knocks. We only applied ice to the affected parts and that was all. They can take part in every activity. Their substitutions were more of a precautionary measure than anything else”. Saddick is likely to be fielded in the Black Stars ‘B’ second leg Chan qualifier against Burkina Faso on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium
