Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko enforcer Umar Basiru has signed for Karela United ahead of the coming season.
The tireless enforcer joins the Nzema based club on a two-year deal after passing his medicals on Wednesday afternoon.
Basiru was one of the most sought after players in the Ghanaian topflight some few seasons ago when he was the skipper of WAFA but agonizingly failed to glitter when he moved to Kotoko and subsequently had his contract terminated.

He is expected to pair Sadiq Alhassan in central midfield as Karela seek to take the Ghana Premier League by storm.
