Management member and head of the Kotoko Medical Team, Dr. Jerry Pratt Newton, has sought for a leave from the club with immediate effect.
Head of Communications, Samuel Sarfo Duku (Esq), disclosed this to Kotoko Media and said Dr. Newton sent a formal leave request to the club on Monday.
Sarfo Duku continues that the club has granted the doctor’s plea that takes effect immediately.
Sarfo Duku did not readily disclose the details of the leave request, but said Dr. Newton asked for some free space to enable him further his education.
Dr. Newton was appointed and put in-charge of the club’s medical department at the birth of the current George Amoako-led Management that took office last year.
The appointment, which was made by Executive Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei, marked the second coming for the physiotherapist, who also served under the erstwhile Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong and Samuel Opoku Nti administrations.
