Ghana and Asante Kotoko legend Malik Jabir believes the Ghanaian giants can only be compared to the North African clubs if the Nana Yaw Amponsah led management is given ample time.
An official announcement will be made on Friday, 7 August, 2020 at the Sports Hotel- Kumasi to unveil Nana Yaw Amponsah as the new Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko.
According to the ex- Kotoko coach, the young but intelligent football administrator, will need time to put measures in place to ensure the Porcupine Warriors are back to where they belong and start rocking shoulders with other top clubs on the continent.
The young but brainy football administrator contested for the FA seat last year and surprised many after coming third in the GFA election.
The owner and Bankroller of Division One League side Phar Rangers has enormous knowledge in running the game and is expected to help transfer the great club.
Mr. Amponsah holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master’s Degree in Sports Law and Practice from the Leicester DE Monort University, UK.
He has also been given the opportunity to pursue a PhD in Sports Leadership at the Concordia University in the United States of America (USA).
From 2008 to 2018, he was a Licensed Player Agent/Intermediary and transferred over 50 players from Ghana and almost 100 across the globe, which brought huge revenues to Ghanaian clubs in the process.
The highly respected 40 Under 40 awardee, is the Director of Football for Phar Partnerships from 2014 to Present and the Founder and CEO of Cornny Drinks Limited.
He is an expert in the areas of Commercial Aspects of Sports, Sports and Ethics, Sports Governance, Representing the Athlete/Player and Sports Regulatory Regimes & Sports Rights, and ambush marketing.
