Fans of Kumasi Asante Kotoko nearly broke the internet with joy after news broke out on Friday about the dissolution of the Asante Kotoko BoD and management by club owner, Otumfuo Osei Tutu the 2nd.

Not only the fans of Kotoko received the news with elation but including some players and a bunch of football followers who sympathize with the Kumasi based club.

In a statement signed by Mr. Kofi Badu, the chief of staff of the Manhyia palace,  stated the club owner Asantehene has dissolved the BoD and Management of Paul Adu Gyamfi and Opoku Nti respectively.

The development was hugely anticipated following a backlash at the BoD and Management from the supporters of club.

Many, including sports journalists expected the development as a channel for redevelopment of the porcupine warriors.

After the news of the dissolution, sportsworldgana.com has contacted some fans and players of the club which all have responded with joy.

Former general manager Opoku Nti has been directed to hand over the administration of the club to Charles Opoku, the Accountant of Kotoko.
