Former Asante Kotoko striker Kwabena Dodzie says a session of the current Kotoko players need serious orientation to enable them know the ”kind of club they are playing for”.
Dodzie explains most of the players do not know the value and also the worth of the club since their shambolic performance with the club recently.
Players of the Fabulous family have come under intense pressure following their inability to record a win in their last four matches. a situation which led to the sacking of head coach Dzravko Logarusic on Sunday after the club’s goalless game against Ebusua Dwarfs.
Accourding to Dodzie who also had stint with Brong Ahafo United, most of the players knew the numerous challenges and pressure that comes with the Kotoko team before joining them and do not ”understand why they’re struggling to succumb to it.
”Many players in Kotoko need serious orientation. Maybe they are not aware the kind of club they are playing for, they are not strong both spiritually and physically”.
”They are interested in social media more than praying”.Kwabena Dodzie told Abusua Fm in Kumasi
He added ”During our time, you have to do your personal training when u are less busy. You are more than the word proud to wear Kotoko Jersey, I don’t see the eagerness and the spirit these days”.
