Asante Kotoko has complained about the value added tax and all other deductions the club is charged with after using the Baba Yara Sports stadium, a government owned facility.
In their last Sunday game played against Liberty professionals in match day 1 of the Ghana premier league, the Kumasi based football club was charged 17.5% only on VAT after their gross from the gate.
The Operation director of the club Owusu Ansah speaking to Kumasi based Kessben FM after the game bitterly complained about the high deductions which are leveled against them and wished is slashed down.
Mr Owusu Ansah who worked under the Dr KK Sarpong’s administration disclosed thoughts was considered during KK’s regime to have built a stadium capacity of at least 25,000 for the Club.
The Operations director added that Kotoko have been pushing through the necessary bodies for the charges to be slashed down but other relatively small clubs haven’t been cooperative because they seemed not to feel the effects.
