Supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have begun to mount pressure on the club’s management to secure the services of Inter Allies forward Victorien Adebayor.
The Niger international caught the attention of the porcupine fans during Inter Allies friendly game with Kotoko at a the Accra Sports stadium on Wednesday.
Despite his side losing 3-0, Adebayor displayed some glimpses of brilliance to delight of the fans present.
After the game, a section of the Kotoko fans waited for the player to come out of the locker room and pleaded with him to switch to Kumasi.
“Adebayor! Kumasi! Adebayor! Kumasi” they shouted while marching with the Inter allies star around the stadium car park.
It’s not known whether Kotoko’s management will heed to the calls from their supporters and initiate transfer talks with Inter Allies.
However, recent local media reports indicate that Inter Allies are ready to let go off their priced asset to any club that is ready to meet their valuation which sportsworld Ghana understands is around $200,000.
