The death of the father of former Kotoko striker Seidu Bancey – Alhaji Seidu Bancey – has been reported at the 37 Military Hospital on Monday.
Alhaji Seidu Bancey was 76.
Bancey joined Asante Kotoko from Ebusua Dwarfs and he is mostly remembered for his thunderbolt against Hearts of Oak in Accra during the 2015 Ghana Premier League season as Kotoko won 2-1 in the biggest fixture of the season.
Ghana football is still mourning after the death of Berekum Chelsea bank roller Alhaji Yakubu Moro last week.
