Popular Ghanaian football scout and coach, Ebenezer Sefah has called for the inclusion of Asante Kotoko’s midfielder, Richmond Lamptey in the Black Stars squad for next year’s AFCON tournament.
Speaking on Kessben TV, Sefah stressed that Richmond Lamptey’s style of play is exactly what has been missing in the Black Stars midfield.
He reckons that the former WAFA and Inter Allies player is by far better than most of the starters and bench warmers in the team.
Coach Eben urged the national handlers to invite the player to be among the Black Stars 2023-24 Ivory Coast AFCON Squad.
“Richmond Lamptey qualifies to be in the Black Stars team. No one can convince me that he can’t play. Unless we don’t want to tell the truth. He’s better than most of the players in the team.
He’s exactly the creative we need in the team. His availability in any team makes the difference. He can play and it’s better than most of the players, I can challenge anyone on this” He said.
