Tema Youth Star Striker, Michael Kporvi has set lofty goals for himself this season, literally, stating he wants to score at least 15 in his first season at The Tema Sports Stadium.
In an interview with Sportsworlghana.com, Michael who already has 3 goals and an assist to his name in the Ghana Premier League this season feels 15 goals would be a reasonable number.
“I’m not really happy with the 3 goals I have scored but that’s football. My objective is to score a least 15 goals this season.
“It won’t be easy but with hard work and the help of my team mates, I am sure I am going to get there.”
The 21-year-old said playing in the Ghana Premier League is good and tough but insists he’s learning a lot in the league.
“The league is really good and tough but it’s good to be playing in the premiership. This is my first time in the premiership and I’m learning a lot already. So far with my performance I’ll say things are going on well.
Michael affectionately called ‘Rapido’ then stated that Tema Youth’s objective this season is top 8 finish.
“Our main goal is to finish in the first 8 and even work harder to be in the top 4.
“We know it is not easy because competition in the Premier League is strong. But we have to deal with it match by match, playing every week and trying to get three points from every game and that is the only way in every match.
“That’s the only way we can reach our objectives and hopefully get to something bigger.”
Michael is the younger brother of Inter Allies defender Uriah Kporvi.
