President Kurt E.S. Okraku has weighed in on the ongoing debate over financial transparency surrounding the Black Stars, stating, “I’m comfortable about making Black Stars budget public but why are we not asking Asaase Radio to make their budgets public. GFA is a private entity too.”
He made it clear that although he has no reservations about disclosing the national team’s budget, the conversation about transparency should be balanced.
By pointing to other private institutions, he suggested that similar scrutiny must be applied across the board.
Okraku’s remarks highlight his position that the Ghana Football Association, as a private entity, should be treated fairly within the broader public accountability discussion.
