Ghanaian forward, Kwadwo Duah scored a late winner for FC St. Gallen to power them to a comeback win over FC Luzern on Wednesday evening.
The Ghanaian forward netted his team’s second goal in their hard-earned 2-1 win in the Swiss Super League after going down very early in the game to pick their first win in six matches.
The visitors took the lead in the first half through Dejan Sorgic’s strike on the fourteenth minute make to make it 1-0 to put the hosts under severe pressure and helped FC Luzern to lead at the break.
After the recess, St. Gallen pushed forward in numbers in search of an equalizer and were awarded a spot-kick which was easily dispatched by Victor Ruiz to level matters for the hosts after 58 minutes played.
Eighteen minutes from the full-time whistle, Boris Babic set up Kwadwo Duah inside the box who’s right-footed strike found the bottom right corner to grab all three points for the Green and Whites to end their five matches winless run in the league.
Duah was taken off with two minutes left to play and the Ghanaian has found the back of the net six times and provided one assist in seventeen matches in the league this season.
