James Kwasi Appiah will remain as head Coach of the Black Stars until the end of his contract, reports Daily Graphic.
The under-fire trainer was expected to announce his resignation as Ghana Coach following the team’s failure to make huge impact at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The former Ghana skipper was tasked to to win the title in Egypt after he was reappointed in 2017.
However, he failed to achieve his target as Ghana crashed out of the Afcon after losing round 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia in the round of 16 stage.
The former Al Khartoum trainer was handed a contract extension to lead Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations after his deal with the Ghana Football Association expired early this year.
Though majority of the Ghanaian populace are not happy with the coach’s tactics and want him fired but sources say the former Ghana U-23 coach will still be at post.
