Ghanaian youngster Kwasi Sibo’s UD Ibiza have become the third team to be promoted to LaLiga SmartBank.
The promotion comes following their 1-0 slim win over UCAM Murcia in the third final for promotion to the Second Division at the Nuevo Vivero de Badajoz on Saturday.
A penalty goal by Ekain in the 70th minute ensured the Balearic Islands picked promotion to play in the Spanish second highest football league next season.
Sibo’s Ibiza will play in the Segunda Division next season, Spanish second highest football league.
The Ghanaian youngster was instrumental and lasted the full duration of the game to help his team secure their historic qualification to the Segunda League.
Originally owned by English Premier League returnees Watford, Sibo despite picking series of injuries still played a key role in Ibiza’s promotion, having played 16 league games for his side.
The Ghanaian promising talent joined Ibiza on loan from Watford in 2019 /20 season before he was handed an extra one year deal following his stupendous display at the club.
