Lassine Sinayoko has written his name into Mali’s Africa Cup of Nations history after becoming the country’s third-highest goalscorer at the tournament.
The forward now has six AFCON goals to his name, moving ahead of Fantamady Keita, who previously held the mark with five goals.
Sinayoko’s latest strike further underlines his growing importance to the Malian national team on the continental stage.
With his confidence rising and Mali still in the competition, Sinayoko will now have the chance to add to his tally and continue climbing the AFCON scoring charts for the Eagles.
