Ghanaian attacker Latif Blessing is hoping to take the 2021 MLS season by storm.
The 24-year-old forward believes he was poor last season as he had personal problems but he is now in the perfect frame of mind to deliver.
“Things changed for me, last year, I had a little bit of a thing between me and my family. But I set it up, so now, this year I’m going to do [my] best,” Blessing told reporters after the weekend’s 3-3 preseason draw against the New England Revolution.
“So when I come back from the offseason, I said to myself, ‘I can keep going’ you know? Last year, I didn’t do [my] best, this year I have to do [my] best. So I think this year I’m ready.”
“I said to myself, this year I need to score more goals. I think it’s going to come. When I start scoring goals, it keeps coming and coming.” He added.
Blessing who can operate anywhere in midfield and attack has already bee penciled down by manager Bob Bradley as one of the LAFC players to watch this coming campaign.
