Medeama attacker Amed Toure has told SPORTSWorldGhana in an exclusive interview that he and his teammates are disappointed at not winning the Ghana Premier League this season and added that their focus now is the FA Cup.

The Yellow and Mauves could not win the league statistically as they occupy the 3rd place on the league table with 51 points after 32 games – 9 points below leaders Hearts of Oak.

“Many people backed us to win it but it did not happen and we are disappointed but we are still in the FA Cup and we want to win that title to make our fans happy” Amed Toure added.

“We are very much disappointed of not winning the league. We the players thought that we could win it at some point of the season but you know this is football. Things did not go on well as planned and we dropped our level” the veteran striker told SPORTSWorldGhana.com exclusively.

Medeama – who have won the FA Cup twice in 2013 and 2015 – host Great Olympics for their Wednesday Round of 16 fixture at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
