Dutch born Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu has joined Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II, after SPORTSworldGhana.com reported on Friday that he was almost close to finalizing his move.
Owusu, 23, has joined the club on a three year deal after ending his stay with De Graafschap.
The former Ajax Academy graduate and Excelsior man was in fine form for De Graafschap before the season was cancelled, scoring three(3) and providing five assists in 29 appearances.
The marauding right-back has been on top form was on top form for De Graafschap this season making 29 league appearances, scoring thrice and providing five assists.
De Graafschap have already started negotiations with Julian Lelieveld who plays for Vitesse Arnheim as his replacement.
SPORTSworldGhana.com understands that Willem are paying 500,000 Euros for the services of Owusu.
