Madagascar has been stripped off the right to host the 2017 edition of the CAF under 17 AFCON.
According to the continent’s football governing body, the decision was made following the reports by CAF inspection teams which received an unanimous backing by the executive committee on Thursday in a meeting held in Libreville.
The statement reads “Following the reports of the CAF inspection team, the CAF executive committee unanimously decided (with the exception of the President of Malagasy Football Federation) to withdraw the hosting right of the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations 2017 from Madagascar”.
