Ghana international Majeed Ashimeru has sent a farewell message to Red Bull Salzburg after sealing a move to Belgian side Anderlecht.
The 23-year-old had been with the Austrian side since 2017 but had little opportunities coming his way, leading to a number of loan spells away from the club.
During his stay with Salzburg, the midfielder was loaned to Austria Lustenau, Wolfsberger, St. Gallen and later joined Anderlecht in January 2021 on an initial loan.
However, following his impressive run of form for the Belgian side, they have now made the move permanent meaning the Ghanaian departs Salzburg after three years.
In his farewell message to the Austrian outfit, Ashimeru wrote: “Thank you @RedBullSalzburg for the opportunity you gave me to continue with my development in Europe, I am eternally grateful.”
“To the board, Technical Team, Fans and my Teammates, I can’t thank you all enough. Know that you have a staunch supporter in Belgium, Danke!”
